One of the first days on the river that I used the new foam hydrospeed I’d built after returning from France was on Canyon Creek in Washington State. I’d run it before on the foam and duct tape riverboards, but the hydrospeed was much better – more responsive, more maneuverable, dove and surfaced much better. Since that day I’ve been hooked on the hydrospeed-style riverboards, especially for running steep creeks and waterfalls.
