POINT POSITIVE
Finding Your Line Through Chaos, With Unshakeable Joy!
Powerful Lessons from the River on Obsession, Death, and Flow State
Hi, I’m Josh Galt — an extreme athlete, serial entrepreneur, and global nomad.
On the river, in whitewater, there is one extremely important rule for communication: point positive.
You first identify the risks, the dangers, the aspects of a class V rapid which could kill you. Of course — whitewater is serious business. But then you focus on the correct line through the maelstrom — the best line to succeed and survive, but also to have the most epic and fun adrenaline rush possible. That’s kinda the point.
In today’s chaotic world it’s easy to get distracted, depressed, and disconnected because of the constant onslaught of hostility from all sides. But there is a powerful and enjoyable method to navigate the chaos all around us.
I’ve seen the best, and the worst, of what nature has to offer. I’ve also experienced some of the best and the worst of what humans are capable of. And through all my journeys, one fundamental principle has helped me stay resilient, overcome challenges, and lead people in the most effective manner possible: POINT POSITIVE.
Ensuring that it is the foundation of your thoughts, your words, and your actions constructs a powerful framework which instills unshakeable confidence, heightened focus, and access to your optimal flow state. Whether someone is just beginning their leadership journey, or already at a world-class level as an executive, investor, startup founder, artist, or athlete — I have seen quantifiable impact and change from embracing this unique point of view.
A deep understanding of why greatness requires obsession, why learning requires play, why living a passionate life requires making peace with death, and why a singular shift in perspective — to the positive — will launch you or your company into a state of flow that can change everything.
