Just watched Bob Costas interview Michael Phelps. Costas is the perfect person to do that interview – he’s one of the best Sports TV hosts ever.
Phelps? Mad respect, man. What a great guy. Yeah, I still think he’s almost annoyingly perfect, but I say that with respect. After seeing that interview though, honestly…it’s very refreshing.
He’s a genuinely good guy who has battled through many challenges and made the most of his talents, while keeping a grounded perspective. Confident, but he showed he’s human after all.
What more could I possibly ask for in a hero?
THAT is the epitome of greatness.
Hopefully he’ll have a long career to inspire many for years to come…
