I have been getting cabin fever. The hives have slowly dissipated over the past few days, but I've been on house arrest. No sun, no water, no driving, no nothing. Sleeping, or sitting up in bed.
So to feel good enough tonight at dusk to take the ol' Dihatsu BeGo out for a spin along HWY 34, watching the ribbon of fading sunlight with its pastel colors melt into the darkening blue of the sea and sky, mmm…the warm breeze, the sounds of frogs croaking froggy curse words at me as the tires squealed to hang on to corners probably not intended for Chinese import 4×4's to be driven on quite so fast…
It was wonderful. I still feel a little tingly and warm, but now I'm not sure if it is from the leftover hives or the exhilaration of after a week of stationary existence, getting to feel motion.
