Read an interesting book today (signed copy #171, for the record – I guess radio book-tour promotions really do work!).

It's a concept that makes much more sense than normal theories of evolution, and actually lines up with a more creationistic approach (and even states as much in the book, despite being solidly its own theoretical examination).
The author doesn't address 2012, but it certainly all ties together as we're entering a phase where things could change in an instant and if there's a massive pole shift in 4 years coinciding with the return of the devil flying an asteroid, along with a one-world gov in place by then (very likely), yeah, maybe 2012 will be the end of the world.
What I really love about this book though is the explanation of how evolution works in leaps, not in slow progression. There's a crop circle from Mexico from the last couple of years that was translated to something about the portal opening and some evolving while the rest are destroyed.
I dig that idea.
Yahweh's all about evolution – the changing of the heart, the renewing of the mind, etc. I've always been fascinated with the ability of humans to evolve, or to, as Robert Felix jokes several times in the book, "twiddle their evolutionary thumbs".
Just evolve, baby!
