Brazil_rel94 Two interesting things I learned today about Brazil:

1. From this very intellectual and informative newsletter"Brazil is culturally self-contained. There is no
obsession with the US economy, American movies, French fashion, German
bonds, Saudi oil, or US/European politics.

With a nation of over
200 million, they have their own culture, music, movies, brands, wealth,
and resources; as such, there is no deference given to the old
economies of western dominance…"

2. The future "richest man in the world" talks about how he got his start and made $6million by age 23 and then turned that into billions by taking calculated risk. He also talks about Brazil, where it has come from and where it's going. He's Dr. Napoleon Hill's principles incarnate. I'm a fan. Watch this video, it's far more interesting than an hour of mindless TV.

I am moving Brazil up on my list of countries to explore soon in South America. The idea of finding a culture that is powerful yet uniquely independent is fascinating – there are few other places in the world where that is the case.
