Here is an article about Obama's socialist views. No one really seems phased by it, myself included. Ok, he's a socialist politician, whoo hoo. Big deal. I don't like either candidate that we're stuck with. We shouldn't be out policing the friggin world, either.

Campaign For Liberty, baby.

But what made his politics personal for me was when he attacked the virtue of selfishness, which is in my mind the most profound collection of ideas written.

"John McCain and Sarah Palin they call this socialistic," Obama
continued. "You know I don’t know when, when they decided they wanted
to make a virtue out of selfishness."

What I find incredible is how anyone of his intelligence can read any of Rand's writings and not see themselves totally carrying out the role of the villain. Life in America under Obama will be like the collapse of society in Atlas Shrugged, and it will be all the ugliest parts of The Fountainhead in terms of art and creation.

I swear, by my life and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask any man to live for mine.

Under socialism, those who CAN DO, are squelched in favor of giving to those who CANNOT EARN IT on their own.

No thanks. I'm not participating. I like to earn what I get. Horatio Alger can, does, and should exist. But he can't without SELFISHNESS BEING A VIRTUE.
